Local authorities and London communities have come together to bring a full programme of events over 30 days. The festival will feature arts, music, races, exploration, loads of activities and much more based in the 17 London riverside boroughs.
A main event is the Source to Sea River Relay, this involves communities further afield than London, all the way to the source of the river, in the Gloucestershire Hills. A bottle will be filled and carried over 200 miles, through London and out to sea via the Thames Estuary, marking the final day of Totally Thames and the Mayor’s Thames Festival.
This event is sure to be a great day out for families, with lots to see and do whilst learning about England’s longest river.
More information will be available on the official website in July 2014.
